(3,193 posts)but more like an exercise in confirmation bias by the consultant that wrote and influenced by the consultant groups Democrats spent billions of dollars on who many if not all of them are also employed by republicans. You can't be honest about trying to fix problems if your not only taking, but receiving advice from people who aren't been honest with you, because they have financial incentive to not be totally honest. That they lost the election proves their advice was bad and to cover their backside they trot out the old Democrats ignored rural voters line. Democratic turnout was down in urban centers across the Country and their pointing towards rural voters and they mean republican or centrist rural voters. Who were never going to flip. Progressive rural voters could be energized with higher turnout from urban centers giving them a better chance to win and get to the polls. We don't need to spend to much time or money in rural America for Presidential elections at this point. Democrats should also fire all those consultants and spend the money else where like investing in social media and the ground building communities to get out the vote.
