8. I was kind of lost, just quit drinking and felt very alientated from my former life...

It was the right time for me to grab a chance at doing what I wanted. I didn't owe that much money and I was pretty much able to live on a low budget so I went with it.

I was an intern at a small CPA firm for part of that period so that paid my way.

And they loved having me around. They weren't use to out going, smart alecky kind of interns and so I was entertainment.

They even let me take some liberties as long as I came in on off times to help out.

In the end, I left the firm and painted houses for a year before I started to build my own tax practice.
