1. I do not understand why anyone would admit to an employer

that they even have a Facebook or Twitter page.

Employers have no good reason to be asking in the first place, but certainly prospective or current employees have no compunction to disclose the information. After all, many people do not have Facebook, and many are leaving the site all the time.
