(29,503 posts)when I was a young boy, the neighbors across the street were a group of veterans - this was the 70's, and I don't recall exactly which conflict they fought in, but they would play poker in the garage at the back of the driveway at a table in a dirty, smokey room with centerfolds on the walls - very masculine setting, and yep, they all had tattoos of some kind, typically on the arms.
But I don't like too many, i.e., David Beckham's appeal declines with each new tattoo because he's covering his skin with ink. I like dark skin tones, and tattoos can easily depreciate the natural beauty of skin.
On women, they can be okay, but again, they can tend to diminish the natural beauty of the human body as it is naturally.
It is NOT a judgment that I pass on people who have them, except I suppose insofar as rating attractive people on a scale from 1 to 10 is a judgment.
