(9,992 posts)DO NOT EVER use either of these companies (same parent company) for your move!
They will steal boxes, break furniture and generally treat your belongings like shit and then, when you complain, they will say "We are sorry we fell short of our goal. Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to do better next time." Their "restitution" process is a joke and you will NEVER be made whole for the losses/breakage.
Even if you THINK you are using a local mover, if you see the Mayflower or United logo at the top of their estimate RUN FOR THE HILLS! I wish I had checked Mayflower/United's reputation online but I trusted a colleague's recommendation to the "local mover" who turned out to be a Mayflower affiliate.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY!
