Trayvon was fighting for his life and lost, and since he can't speak, there needs to be a reconstruction expert to try and re-create what happened.

Zimmerman clearly had the intend to detain Trayvon. Trayvon felt threaten, who wouldn't, probably saw the gun and felt he needed to protect himself. He tried to get away but Zimmeran pursued him anyway and Trayvon would do what many people would do "Stand your Ground".
