1. Over the years, the Republican Party, like any organization, has codified their beliefs.

People who think like "Republicans" are attracted to those policies and behaviors join the Party.
Unfortunately, it appears that Republican policies and behaviors are counter productive for the best interests of most living things on the Earth. I believe that history will eventually study Republicanism as an example of mass psychotic disorders.
