Has he never read an article about the prevailing scientific theory that the dinosaurs were wiped out along with about 50% of all other living species as a result of a massive asteroid that struck the earth off what is now the Yucatan peninsula? Is he unaware that scientific evidence shows both levels of suffocating toxic gases in the atmosphere (thanks to ice cores) and a layer of charred carbon material that emanates and radiates outward from the suspected impact?
No the dinosaurs didn't die from manmade carbon emissions. Mankind as we know it today didn't exist at the time. We were on one of the early days of the Genesis story before God made man (and then his servant woman).
I swear the Republicans when I was growing up in a very conservative western state would never have said such nonsense. Nor would they have believed it. They were fairly "ordinary" people who simply had a different understanding of the role of government in society but they didn't consider all taxes bad or that the government should be shrunk until it could be drowned in a bathtub.
