A couple has been married for many, many years. Fourteen years ago an incident happened that caused them to lose their home, which then led to other very unfortunate circumstances. Neither partner could agree on which events led to the loss of their home. Both blamed the other. They talked about it a hundred times over, and they never could agree. The discussion then always led to a drawn out argument, laced with terrible invective and insults. They would get red in the face, mad as hell, but eventually get back to some relative peace, as they shared many ideals, passions and goals. Then like Ground Hog's Day, one would bring it up once again, offering that it was something that needed to be resolved. Another nasty argument naturally ensued. Their marriage councilor said they would continue to have irreconcilable differences unless they just let go of the blame, forgave, and moved on to deal with their present circumstances, if they wanted to be successfull.
