the higher education system in the state. The predecessor colleges that consolidated into Southwestern had issues such as slavery, yellow fever epidemics , religious battles and wars that affected their legacy over time. I've been to Trinity a couple of times for basketball games and I also applied for job there when I graduated from college so I know that I should take some time and get more familiar with the history.

However, now that both universities are in the same athletic conference you are going to be a foe instead of a friend the week that our football teams meet up with each other. We might have to make a side wager, like putting something in our signature lines, when that occurs. I think the game against Trinity is supposed to be the homecoming game for SU so maybe I'll get a chance to attend in person.
