90. This is the RW meme. Who do we want protecting him, Blackwater's newest incarnation?

The Secret Service is at best grossly negligent and incompetent as an institution. And that's assuming all of these failures are isolated incidents.

No, the GOP who slashed the budget for security at Benghazi, for the POTUS and every other agency of the US government are responsible. This even came out in their latest witch hunt committee where they pretend they don't know how this is happening but are more than likely toasting it, just as they did the shutdown and drooling over the chance to default.

The stage of the Sequester started the first chance that the Tea Party had after they got in office in 2010 and has continued to cut funding for the Secret Service and every other agency:

Budget Control Act of 2011
See also: Sequester (2013)

In 2011, sequestration was used in the Budget Control Act of 2011 (Pub. L. 112-25) as a tool in federal budget control.[2] This 2011 act authorized an increase in the debt ceiling in exchange for $2.4 trillion in deficit reduction over the following ten years. This total included $1.2 trillion in spending cuts identified specifically in the legislation, with an additional $1.2 trillion in cuts that were to be determined by a bipartisan group of Senators and Representatives known as the "Super Committee" or officially as the United States Congress Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction. The Super Committee failed to reach an agreement. In that event, a trigger mechanism in the bill was activated to implement across-the-board reductions in the rate of increase in spending known as "sequestration".[14]

The Sequestration Transparency Act of 2012 (Pub. L. 112-155) requires the president to submit a report to Congress on a potential sequestration which may be triggered by the failure of the "Super Committee" to propose and for Congress to enact, a plan to reduce the U.S. Federal Budget by $1.2 trillion as required by the Budget Control Act.[15] The report – which was issued September 14, 2012, and was close to 400 pages long – provided the warning that "sequestration would be deeply destructive to national security... and core government functions".[16]

Please note, there are many sources that prove none of this process was the fault of Obama or the Democratic Party. They support government as an agent of the majority of people, not the ones who want the government to get out of the way so allow them full ability to exploit the people. Their current round of extortion only funds government until the end of December 2014.

The trashing of federal employees trying to do their jobs at the national parks and the White House since the last shut down, is not a mistake for the GOP. But it is a mistake for Democrats anywhere to promote the trashing of people doing more with less workers. And to not hold accountable at the polls those who not only want to starve government, but the people of the USA.

Rand Paul was gleeful at the thought of he and his friends getting to 'manage catastrophe' by default. The dilemma Obama found himself in has been well documented, and we know, or should know, what the GOP's intent in the Sequester, shutdown and default was, which was no less than to make homeless, hopeless and quickly dead, the 47% that Romney, Paul, Ryan, Cruz and the rest want removed from the land of the living.

The only solution is to confront the real source of this at the polls, not getting down on the working class:

Secret Service Director Says GOP Sequestration Left Them Down 550 Employees

http://www.politicususa.com/2014/09/30/secret-service-director-gop-sequrestration-left-500-employees.html

In the House Oversight Committee hearing which started Tuesday on the problems in the Secret Service as it has failed repeatedly to protect the First Family, the Secret Service blamed the sequestration budget cuts for cuts in staffing.

Bloomberg News writer Del Quentin Wilber tweeted:

.@SecretService Pierson: #sequestration hurt staffing. Down 550 employees due to budget cuts.

— Del Quentin Wilber (@DelWilber) September 30, 2014

(snip)

Republicans tried to blame President Obama for the sequester after it turned into a political disaster, but the discovery of a 2011 PowerPoint presentation that Speaker John Boehner gave to Republicans detailing his sequester idea killed that mid deployment. The White House has had a plan on the table since December of 2012 to deal with sequestration to no avail.

(snip)

While sequestration is not the only reason for the terrifying failures of the Secret Service to protect the First Family, it does take money to run things. It takes money to pay good people– a concept that Republicans tout when it excuses Wall Street bonuses in the millions while refusing to raise the minimum wage.

(end snip)

Something I am assuming won't be in the MEdia's account. They are all too busy with the Congress Critters' soundbites.

to deminks:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025603099

Those in media releasing stories trashing these guys neglect Sequestration and how it effects us. Not the people at the WA Post, though, so they can keep on stirring hatred of yet another federal agency.

Likely another attack on unionized federal workers and their solution will be to fire all of them as has been suggested because of the sudden media outrage. We The People are hapless sponges in that regard, they toss us red meat and we gulp it down.

The WP article could have gone into the real concern of these intrusions, a coup. Instead, MSM cheers RW extremists all across the country, and plays those who aren't at the same time and then people will be disaffected and not vote.

Either way, the RW wins. If Obama is slain, there will be a Civil War. Who is locked, loaded and ready for that? The RW. Who promotes it all day long? The RW. What does the RW and LW both say? That Government isn't doing the job without looking at the hands behind the curtain. It's depressing.

JMHO!
