(68,644 posts)59. Results are gonna vary, but my ACA covered over $500,000 in costs this year.
Now I had to fight them over a LOT of shit charges and am still fighting them over a $27,500 helicopter ride.
But this isn't new, this isn't ACA's fault.
Fair to say, ACA didn't exactly fix it but CoveredCalifornia was very helpful in my fighting with Athem Blue Cross to get my out of pocket down to what I was told it would be.
Most people wouldn't have known what to do.
I had an aneurism and brain surgery, then an infection and rehospitalization in May and June this year.
Much better now, but still having to fight.

My doc offers the same rate to a self pay patient that is agreed to for ins. co's and medicare.

Your x-rays have almost always been read by a radiologist.......for the last 40 years or more.
