Unfortunately we already have a template for that. Cenk Uyger and the Young Turks got the axe because the thin-skinned control freaks in the RNC in Washington complained that his show wasn't being very nice to them and they were gonna retaliate by not being available to guest on the show. BIG FUCKING DEAL. SO THE-HELL WHAT??? Shoulda dick cheney'd them (as that war criminal hissed to Patrick Leahy on the floor of the Senate: "Go Fuck Yourself!"
The proper response to this, when these assholes throw a hissy fit, should be: "So What?" Basically - "oh, so you don't want to come on? Can dish it out but can't take it? FINE! We've got LOTS of other people available whom we can put on the air. See ya!"
A few strong doses of that and I'd bet they'd start coming around. And worse case scenario? Maybe we'd get a few more Dems and liberals and progressives on, and a little more GENUINELY fair and balanced coverage, instead. OTHER voices would get exposure, and OTHER faces would get face time, for a change. Sounds like an all-around win to me.
