4. I don't follow social media much -- is Shatner being criticized for doing the Red Cross gig?

It seems obvious to me that he would want to be at his good friend's service, and that he would want to honor a commitment and help the Red Cross raise money. Lacking a working transporter, he couldn't attend both functions, so he made a reasonable choice. Are people giving him grief over that?
