... SHOULD be prosecuted under the Logan Act. The law's wording is very clear and concise, and there is ZERO wiggle room for even the oiliest of them to slither out of it. Yeah, I'm looking at YOU, Cruz!

But, as we recently saw with the treasonous Petraeus, there is a grotesque double standard that protects Washington insiders from having their social schedules interrupted by any of the legal unpleasantness to which we, the Great Unwashed, would certainly be subjected, were we to undertake such subversive action to undermine a diplomatic initiative.

I could almost understand such action to prevent a war, but to try and START one? The Republicans have overplayed their hand, and proven, beyond any hope of redemption, what malignant assholes they really are.
