Educated people who have critical thinking skills have a nasty habit of asking questions and questioning authority.

Ill-educated sheeple who have been trained to shut up, obey unquestioningly and live in fear are perfect subjects for propagandizing and are easily controlled. Which is just what the tenth-percenters want.
