(3,145 posts)60. Had noisy neighbors who would throw loud parties

Real redneck humdingers. At the time my elderly parents had moved in after their foreclosure and I had to be up at 5am for work.
Polite requests to take the party indoors were met with swearing and calls to the landlord were fruitless so I called the cops on them. Many times. Finally the city got so tired of getting called out there they told the landlord they would start ticketing HIM for allowing a nuisance. The hillbillies were evicted post haste.
If it weren't for the police intervention the landlord probably wouldn't have gotten rid of the obnoxious assholes.

I've called the cops about a dog in a car on a hot day because I couldn't locate the owner

Someone has to collect the evidence. They are the only ones in that business.

It is the rare person that I've run into in life that doesn't like other animals of any kind.

I've been there, had the rudest neighbors in the world that let their 3 dogs bark all night long.

They'll just tell me to fill out a form on their website, or in person at the police station...

Yes. I used to live in a high crime neighborhood and called them about once a month.

I've called them in times of trouble. And I've had bad experiences at times too.

That's not really just a yes or no question. I would call the cops in the town I live in.
