4. The reason Trump's numbers remain strong despite what the establishment thinks or says

is because the establishment lives in a bubble. The establishment controls who is allowed to attend these debates and they give the responses the establishment likes to hear. In addition the enabling media's (another product of the establishment) shoddy surveying methods just feed the false security the establishment wants to hear. When reality sets in, and things don't go as planned, the establishment gets all flustered and paralyzed and they think throwing more money on the situation will make it better.

This whole scenario is the only thing I support on Trump's candidacy. He's turning the status quo on its head. The establishment has no clue on how mainstream Americans are managing to survive and establishment's past practices of throwing out red herrings to take us off the scent of real issues have not been as effective in this campaign season. Sanders is tapping into that vein as well, but from another angle.
