I do my best to avoid packaged foods, restaurants and food whose source I cannot trace. I have been a professional cook in the past and found it hard to acquire untainted food.

I had an exclusive clientele so I was able to cater to their tastes while satisfying my own, I promised them when I took over kitchen management that I would never serve them anything that I would not eat myself. I proved it by joining them at every meal to show that I was eating the same food. They really appreciated that.

If I had the $$ to start up, I have a (I hate to use the term business but...) business model to relieve food desert problems while providing "clean" produce. Wish I could get the funds to get it going as it not only addresses food problems but also creates jobs and housing for those willing to put in the effort in a co-op style of operation.
