Officers will be even more jittery around minorities, and use Dallas to demonstrate why they need more military gadgets and firepower. In an ideal world, they'd consider how tensions between civilians and police got this bad. Most of this tension could be alleviated simply by holding more officers accountable when they screw up and shoot unarmed citizens.
