We're a handful of couples that have known each other for decades. They're mainly on my husband's side, but we socialize often. All conservative, which has never been an issue before this election. Trump has exposed a bigotry that to this day I didn't even know existed in them. Example: two of the couples were talking about their recent vacations to Mexico (one to Cancun, the other to Mazatlan.) Both raving about how beautiful it all was....except for "all the Mexicans" 
The most rabid of them is a woman who has used every social program imaginable, has had at least one abortion, and whose English skills (they're all immigrants) are elementary, even after living in this country for over 20 years. I nearly bloodied my tongue biting down so hard.
