(1,551 posts)They still have their own agendas and PNAC type goals and they think Trump is the vehicle that's finally going to get them there. But, he's not. Not only are their policies horrific and misguided but so is their judgement of their ability to manage Trump. Everybody gets turned on and backstabbed eventually. More than once if he can. He's going to dunk Cruz and Romney up and down like a tea bag full of humiliation for as long as they'll allow him. They may not want Trump to be their king - but he already is, and they're in denial if they are telling themselves differently.
When talking about personality disordered people they alway seem to have a collection of minion/flying monkeys/ramora. I can't claim to understand their pathology except that from what I've seen with our own personal Trump - first they think they're going to get something advantageous to them from the relationship - whether it's emotional or financial. Then they get sucked in and have to bend their morals, then they get in too deep and can't see a way out. In between there's humiliation/reward/gaslighting/punishment and it's on a rinse/repeat cycle. And if they do "break away" don't trust it for a good long while afterward.
