And they'll keep voting Republican because liberals are "mean" and "rude" and "don't care about middle/rural/working class America".

And they'll raise their kids to vote for Republicans and we'll have more generations of political gridlock.

We're in this mess because we spent the last 8 years not taking the tea party seriously and assuming they would just go away if we ignored them. They didn't.

They aren't an enemy, they are a cancer. And you don't beat cancer by giving it the finger or ignoring it. Treating cancer by locating it, understanding it and attacking it where it lives is not "appeasement" and it is not "bailing people out".
