other president could have done so-not even Kennedy. Johnson achieved the most progressive wins since Roosevelt. But heaven forbid we use tactics that are not pure...would it be more ethical and moral not to have fought like hell for the poor, seniors and people of color? I will never understand such an argument. I consider Johnson one of our best presidents...Obama also inherited a war and was unable to stop it, yet he was a great president as well in a different way. As my dear old Dad was fond of saying ...you can't fight fair if the other guy doesn't. Winning is the best thing...it is the only thing!
