4. I agree that they want weapons

However, I do not think they would have treated him differently if he had not come bearing an arms deal. Hospitality is bred into them as an integral part of their culture. Not to honor him would have brought shame on all of Saudi Arabia. Now he might think they are treating him differently in part because of the weapons. He might think he is the big, important businessman who must be treated like royalty. That perspective he holds, in and of itself, is what makes me ill.
