39. True, Bible has nothing on tipping. Tons on tithes though.

Starting with Genesis 14:19-20, Abram gave God a tenth... and it goes on from there. I'm sorry I have not the time nor skill to get into a bible quotation session but I'll leave this link about tithing I found on Google...

But still... if I were working as wait staff at a restaurant and I did good work I'd expect a tip, as this is custom here. So I tip. That's why I quoted Luke 10:27. The "church lady" who didn't tip in my opinion didn't live up to this expectation.
