48. Hobo, it's just not right. We all know this.

I have nothing to offer except that "our" generation (I'm guessing you're probably about my age) is getting screwed over royally.

I'm currently employed in a job that will end on December 31st. I've been looking for a new job, and it's laughable the way older job seekers are seen. I'm too old to be employable, yet not old enough for social security, and I'm scared shitless as to what the future holds.

I see the spunk and the drive in your post, and I want you to know that spunk and drive ARE important when the going gets tough. I wish you the very best and I hope that somehow, someway, somewhere - the GOOD people get a little bit of good karma.

There are some good suggestions for you in this thread. Please consider them carefully, and I hope to hear better news from you soon. Take care of yourself.
