14. Amen, Velveteen Ocelot.

I'm in the same "boat," but I like it that way. In general, I have found men horribly deficient in character--especially in my age group. I know people like Pat Robertson would rather see me dead, since I am worthless as an unmarried person in his eyes, but I'd rather spend time with my and other people's dogs and a bunch of amazing older women (all of us, by the way, are invisible to the rest of society) than ANY of those disgusting Nazi-wannabes and their like. Why couldn't it have been one of them who had been mowed down instead of an innocent woman who loved dogs? God, this country has fucked up priorities!

If I am lucky enough to make it to an elder status where I don't have to be a slave to my job and commute, I plan on becoming an old activist, because I HAVE HAD IT with assholes and bad behavior!!! There is no place in this country for the Nazis--most of whom are too stupid to know what all of it actually means--and people who build their lives around hurting people just because they are miserable in their own skin and live in fear.
