I'm tired of people acting as being a Democrat is some special privilege that can be withheld. For christs sake, as long as the party is running on a progressive platform it doesn't matter a damn WHO votes for us. If every last Trump voter randomly turned up and voted D next time, who cares? Would we all sit around and cry about how we didn't want those votes and shouldn't have won? Would we hell, we'd celebrate the country becoming more progressive minded and use the power to change things for the better.

This isn't some high school popularity contest, aside from the platform and morality of the people we run basically the ONLY thing that matter is getting in the votes. If we can pull in a few million former Trump voters next time, then that is a wonderful thing that only someone incredibly naive would not want to happen. So much of our progress over the last decade is being attacked from all sides simply because we didn't win last time, we cannot allow that to happen again over some holier than thou bullshit.
