That's not how DACA works and he knows it. DACA participants don't claim to have entered the US as minors; they did enter as minors, brought by their parents, and they had to prove they were minors in order to be in the program. In fact, they have to prove they entered before they reached age 16. And they weren't "encouraged" to enter illegally; they didn't make that decision at all. Their parents brought them. Many were babies or small children. And since DACA requires applicants to have been in the US since June 15, 2007, how can it possibly encourage any more children under 16 to enter the US?

Cotton is a lying sack of shit. But we knew that.
