An explanation of Kelly sucking up to Trump.. [View all]

Sure on this one, about a soldier's death, he sucked up to Trump. Great Suck Up Indeed. He has to. In the long scope of things, Kelly must be trusted by Trump, always and completely. Kelly has taken a lot of heat, and it is well deserved. I believe Kelly must be on great terms with Trump, completely trusted, if Kelly is going to prevent war. So Kelly took some heat on this..it was a whole lot of heat..

But, and this a question. If Kelly gained Trump's support for taking the heat, and standing by the "leader"..Then if Trump get's all worked up about something, and he starts true war pounding over and over again..Then Kelly can say, NO, it isn't in our best interest, and Trump may listen. After all Kelly stood by the leader when things were bad with the messages to the wife of a soldier killed in battle. Kelly stood by and lied for the leader. Perhaps that confidence that Kelly has gained, can be used in calming the leader down at a time when it is far more necessary. Now I am not saying it wasn't necessary at this time, but there may come a time when Kelly really needs to stop the leader, and Kelly can say..."I went with you on that soldiers wife thing..come on, listen to me on this one"

Perhaps, Kelly sacrificed his integrity on this...to be there for...."listen to me on this one" And this one could be a far more dangerous situation for the entire country, perhaps life threatening, Far more important then what to do and say concerning the death of a soldier.. If Kelly sacrificed his integrity to prevent lots of deaths, in a future situation, where no one will know, it could be really worth it. If Kelly stops the leader from doing something incredibly bad for the entire country, wouldn't it be worth him looking like a real suck-up patsy now? If he stood up against the leader on this, and made himself look like a fool to Trump, then how could he be there and calm Trump down for a truly life threatening situation. Many lives...It is more of an explanation rather than a defense. Trump values loyalty more than almost anything. Perhaps Kelly knew that in the long run, this one was relatively minor.. On those decisions where hundreds or thousands of lives are at stake, Kelly wants to be there to stop Trump. And he knows if he goes against him in a relatively minor situation..(yes, that is what I think) he will not be there as a calming influence in the major situations to come..
