Doesn't matter where you stand on Catalan independence--be it a justified movement or not. Once evidence arises that there has been foreign influence to tip the balance, we're head-first into a concerted effort to destabilize and, as you said, sow chaos and confusion. I would add distrust and anger, anything to disrupt.

We see it there, we see it here, we see it everywhere within the Western Alliance at the moment.
