4. Texans situation is particularly glaring

Since Kaepernick's skill set matches that of Watson. They are still in contention for the playoffs and have no reasonable alternative. They are backing up their totally inadequate starter Savage with Yates and McGloin.

I don't think the case is particularly strong for the other three teams though. Osweiller makes the most sense for the Broncos. Hoyer is better than Kaepernick and would have fit the Packers system better. The Browns are well the Browns and McCarron is a better quarterback as well.

It would take someone like Hopkins demanding that the Texans go out and get Kaepernick.
