3. Republicans face a choice

They can either begin governing in the best interests of the whole country, or they can stubbornly stay the course they're on. So far, the early comments from congressional leadership indicates that they're going to keep going and disregard that iceberg dead ahead.

The entire caucus should really sit down and discuss their options going forward. My guess is they won't do that. Impeaching, convicting and removing Trump would provide a satisfying spectacle, but I'll be happy to see Democrats working their platform and continuing to make gains like they did yesterday. If Doug Jones wins in the Alabama Senate race, Republicans just might consider changing their tactics, but even then . . .
