far more in common with each other than they do with hard-core, radical/reactionary types farther out. No surprise your family is solid. And just think of the sometimes implacable disagreements here between liberals and some of our few Democratic conservatives versus those farther left.

Btw, interestingly, as your family suggests there is no "moderate" political type. We all basically fall left or right to various degrees and then develop into goulashes of opinions.
