It all depends on how you measure. A slap in the face is not the same as throwing acid on someone. The quotes I highlighted were just as bad before the acid comment was made as it was afterwards.
I would argue that each of the actions can be ranked based on severity, but unless you believe the people quoted actually desire their threats to be carried out, they all fall into the same category.
I would bet all of the people that spoke those things didn't really intend for action to be taken.
