(2,025 posts)24. I had an argument with a supporter of GM crops.
He made some valid points about higher yields and lower use of pesticide. My point remains that while one company makes enormous profits and ensures that they and they alone control the supply of seeds, the real beneficiaries are the fat cats.
This is too important an issue to leave to the market.
