I know this because my best friend was a junkie and a big stones fan. What do you think Sister Morphine and Dead Flowers were about. Brown Sugar, Dead Flowers, and Sister Morphine were all on the Sticky Fingers album.

brown sugar was a popular reference to brown Mexican heroin long before that tune was written.

all of the hidden innuendos on that album related to heroin just went over the heads of the people who were not caught up in that web.

At the time, both Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were junkies.
