The evidence is quite clear on what happened on that day but putting that aside the likelihood that there were people who were in England that knew about the plot, tipped a newspaper and then remained silent for 70 years is laughable.

The contention that they would send a tip and then never say anything is not plausible.

The fact is that most "secrets" like the identity of Deep Throat for example are leaked over time. If people knew they would talk. If people were inclined to phone in a tip then what would their motivation be not to expose it after the fact?
