Dem pledges to ask all court nominees about sexual harassment history under oath [View all]

Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) pledged on Wednesday to ask court nominees under oath if they have any history of committing sexual assault or harassment.
“Women and men all across the country have been speaking up about their experiences with sexual assault and harassment,” Hirono said during a hearing for Kurt Engelhardt, a nominee for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
“It started in Hollywood but we know that it occurs in many other settings,” she continued.
Hirono posted a clip from the hearing on Twitter.
