(22,112 posts)to deal w/ the statewide republicans (as we all know, being MO residents) who have ignored the will of Missouri voters in some things, such as the statewide measure that addressing puppy mill abuses, and our charming MO state legislature then passed an law repealing that measure and setup some 'standards' instead. Nice! Ignore what the voters wanted.
Other abuses also include telling us (as Missourians) to when the word 'meat' can be used, which I think is way too much regulation into our lives and they shouldn't be telling Missouri voters what they can or can not do in things of this nature. Before long, they'll be telling us when we can or can not use a word, and how to use it.
Ignorant and impacts my freedom of speech. Let the free markets determine this, not state government. If consumers are misled by the word 'meat' in packaging of products, then don't buy it. Keep government out of this. Before long, they'll be into all sorts of areas because they don't like something.
