Reminds me of some very well-informed progressives I knew in Mississippi. I always admired their ability to hold fast to their views, in the face of overwhelming opposition.

Would that more white voters in the Deep South were like your relatives.

As you know, if you exclude Black and other minority voters, Alabama, like most of the region, is something like 80% Rapepublican.

Still, something tells me that'll change over time. Your relatives are a very good example of that.
