36. People want impeachment whether or not it results in removal.

Why is that so hard to understand? They want Pelosi to TRY. These Democratic activists are not stupid. They know we don't have the votes in the Senate, yet. They want Trump's crimes exposed via a robust, televised impeachment inquiry, not the silent one we appear to be pursuing.

They want Trump to go down in history as the 4th president to be impeached by the House. No president has ever been removed by the Senate. The lack of votes in the Senate never stopped prior impeachment proceedings. It shouldn't now. Impeachment in the House damages a president's ability to pursue his agenda. And it will fire up our base. Why wouldn't we want to hamper Trump from hurting the country, while firing up our base to vote in 2020? Seems like a win-win.

Besides, impeachment is the right thing to do. Trump is evil. We should not countenance evil, and that is what it looks like we're doing by not having formal televised impeachment investigation hearings.
