48. How can you say Impeaching the most corrupt president in history has "no real gain"?

It puts Democrats and 1 independent in the House on the record as upholding the law, and puts Trump in the history books as only the 4th president ever impeached by the House.

The votes would immediately be there in the House if Pelosi came out in favor of impeachment.

Not impeaching is the landmine. If we don't impeach Trump, we lose all moral authority. He will argue that if what he he was so wrong, Democrats would have impeached him. He will use the House Dems failure to impeach as an admission that everything he did was legal. That would be ruinous for Dems and would depress Dem turnout.
