We may very well be at a point where it is so daunting, so exhausting, so demanding of resources that medical providers are no longer regularly providing updated information, and so that information that is making its way into the public domain is woefully inadequate. And this is to say nothing of the reporting from the third world or from dictatorships or repressive regimes.

For example, Indonesia, with a population of more than 200 million, shows 307,000 cases. Maybe they were lucky, or sensible, or whatever, but that seems low. Russia also. The population of Xinjiang, China, home to re-education camps and the Uighur population, is 23 million, yet shows "only" 902 cases. There could be good reasons for this, and, if this number is accurate, great. But it could be that the numbers in the public databases are lower than they really are.

Maybe it's not relevant, that it falls into the "it is what it is" category. Just my 2 cents.
