4. Depends on reason for testing for low positive rate

Think of the literally tens of thousands of tests for screening.

All 4 major sports leagues and college athletics have been testing thousands of people multiple times per week (60*32 for NFL, 35*30 for MLB until two weeks ago, etc).

Curious as to how many random tests are going on at colleges across the country in addition to the probably tens of thousands that college students had to take to be allowed to move back into dorms.

If we were to do more screening tests with rapid (less than 6 hour) turnaround, we could do a much better job of contact tracing and isolating potential spreaders.

My son's small college has been testing at a rate of a couple of thousand tests per week among students, faculty, and support staff with very few positives. Probably driving down the the positivity rate where they are, although a large public university in the same county is probably reversing that trend and then some given its much larger population.
