In reply to the discussion: President of Central Florida company warns of layoffs if Biden wins presidency in letter to employee [View all]Trailrider1951

in 2012 I was employed by a consulting engineering company near Austin, TX. There were about 30 employees, 12 or so were Engineers, all white and all but one, male. They were wealthy and conservative.
The rest of us were hourly employees, and in October of that year, we had a meeting with the President and the Owner of said company. Several items were discussed, but the last 20 minutes or so was a fervent sales pitch as to why Obama was bad for the country, and a second term would be the ruination of the country's economy. Why, we just HAD to vote for Romney to save our jobs and our country! We knew that was bullshit, and thought so much less of those two after that. I left that company about a year later. Good riddance!

Boy, it's a good thing there haven't been any job losses under Trump, especially covid-caused, huh?

Biden needs to send those employees a message, a commercial, telling them they're going to be golden

Sounds like it might have stepped over the line and broken a law by essentially telling workers

That can't be legal? Also sounds like they already planned the layoffs well before

Sounds like setting up excuse to fire people? Meanwhile, way to beg for a boycott?
