... the hearing lasted a very short time and was based on the defenses claim that there was a 'technical flaw' in the extradition request. The judge said 'so what', banged his gavel, and off the kid went to be handed over to the other states police.
No witnesses are needed for this sort of decision.
The friend who bought the rifle for him has admitted to doing so, provided details of the transaction, and has acknowledged that he is in trouble. An admission in prejudice of self interest is not going to be easily denied.
