14. Cuomo is a strong leader and a good governor

who did the best he good in a terrible situation, with a Trump admin that was intentionally trying to sabotage Cuomo and other Dem governors. NY is in relatively good shape compared to many if not most states, and that is how voters will judge him, on the overall picture.

AOC and de Blasio's piling on Cuomo only help him IMO as they are viewed much more negatively statewide than he is.

Progressives have always disliked Cuomo but his style of Dem is far more in tune with what NYS really is - a liberal but very tough place that does not care for politicians who cry about 'bullying' or other such nonsense - just that they work hard and get the job done.
