In reply to the discussion: Foo Fighters Drummer Taylor Hawkins Dead at 50 [View all]JohnnyRingo
(18,624 posts)4. OH no! I'm not even much of a FF fan...
Even though I live in Dave Grohl's birthplace,
I loved seeing Hawkins work his kit. He was exceptionally talented, and he was so influential I don't think the band will be the same.
I may not be a big fan of FF's music, but Dave Grohl is a class act. His docs are incredible and he's very humble to his fans. I got the same vibes from Hawkins. They showed up here to christen "Dave Grohl Alley" several years ago with a free small hometown concert at a local record store.
I'm saddened by the loss to family, the band, and the future of rock.

Well, at least it wasn't by a horrendously disfiguring freak accident, I guess. So sad!

A sad loss indeed. Alanis singing this at The Grammys was one of the best performances ever.

There's lots of articles on MSM websites discussing the legacy and passing of Madeline Albright
